Thank you, Jackie Downen sunny California" Hi Jackie, I can't hep much on the WILLIAMS family but I do have information to share on the KINSALL family if you would like to correspond with me. I am descended from Margaret Jane KINSALL who married William Laffett BLACKARD. Margaret was the daughter of Benjamin KINSALL, Sr. and Eliza LANGFORD. I have a Henry WILLIAMS m Precilla Jane KINSALL on March 1, 1876 in Gallatin Co, Illinois. The marriage is kinda tricky to find because she is listed as "June KINSALE" in the Illinois State Marriage Index that is on the internet. Precilla Jane is the daughter of David M. KINSALL and Cordelia E. DAVIS, and the granddaughter of John KINSALL and Elizabeth B. Hancock. (John was a brother of my Benjamin). I don't know who the John P. KINSALL is. I have several John KINSALLs but none with a middle initial of "P" that I know of. I do have a Joseph Polk KINSALL b 1851 d 1937 (a brother of my Margaret) I also have a John S. KINSALL b abt 1863 and was a younger brother of Precilla Jane. Are you related to William J. DOWNEN and his wife, Barbara A. KINSALL ?? Kes Truelove, from the not so sunny Valparaiso, Indiana

    3. Carol, We've corresponded before. Did I give you the info on Isoville & William's marriage? 29 October 1848, Gallatin Co., IL (Gallatin County Illinois Marriages, page 50) But where were they on the 1850 Census? There is another marriage record for Isoville: (from state-wide index) HOLDERBY, ROBERT H PRITCHETT, ISAVILLA (MRS OVER MISS) GALLATIN 11/13/1866 A/ 538 Always glad to hear from you. I have the following person in my PRITCHETT line: James TARRANT, b. in Georgia or NC about 1796 . He was a farmer and was married to Jane ? b. abt. 1794 who was a Shawnee Indian. Their daughter was Isoville TARRANT b. about 1826, place unknown so far, who married William PRITCHETT , probably in Gallatin CO. about 1848.The 1850 gallatin Co. Census shows James and Jane TARRANT had a 21 year old female, Mary J. Tarrant living with them. Probably a daughter and Isavilla's sister. Also on same census were Asa B. Tarrant 31 and James E. Tarrant 30, the right ages to be sons of this James. While cemetery stomping in 1998 in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Omaha, IL is also a gravestone which reads: Edward Tarrant 1817-1863. Or, if you know of a site explaining this (Relatives for Dummies, maybe?) please let me know! If it doesn't take too much of your time and you don't mind, I would find it most helpful.
