An Added note from Ginny, i don't belong to any of the IL genealogical groups, and don't have a problem getting anything. i usually join though, ; to help finances and i ALWAYS try to take little goodies along, to give to the nice helpers, 'cause they were nice; and to give to the ones who aren't so nice, 'cause maybe they'll be nicer to the next researcher. Never have a problem,... tho' if we all remember that workers are sometimes overwrought from stresses of deadlines, people like us coming in and expecting to much, having unclear dates and wrong spellings<G> etc. *I believe there is still train service to Galesburg, too. Nice drive, either way. All my Dad's family are in McDonough Co. so thanks for the warning. ginny _______________________________________ Julie wrote: >Judy > >I'll second the the info about the people in Lewiston being very nice. > >may be on line.
