Hi New Friends! I wanted to thank the folks that have been so kind to help me. Having some difficulty with my web service, so folks may not be getting my thank you messages. I'm still somewhat confused, as now there are Thomas and Steven?s McGehee's. Also I think there is a possibility that we are looking at 2 counties. Fulton and Cass?? Still trying to sort things out. My Thomas was in the civil war 1864 -1865 (residence listed as Liverpool area) and I do not believe that he died in the war because his discharge paper says he was discharged from Ft. Leavenworth Ks and he was 29 years old in 1865. He married Anna E. O'Brian (t)? 1855? and had a son William who may have been born in the Beardstown area in 1861. I do not have any idea if William and Ann had more children than William, or if Thomas died and his widow remarried??? I do know that William was my g-grandfather, and can follow the line down. If anyone can sort his out, I will appreciate help, as I am not familiar with county lines or resources. Again my sincere thank you! Sue
