Norm, Have you ever come across a Minor/Miner family from Maryland who moved into western Pennsylvania in the middle 1700's? I am researching the family of Rev. John Francis Miner who was born in Pennsylvania 4 July 1775, migrated with his family to Kentucky about 1790, then moved with several siblings to Jefferson County Indiana around 1818, and finally to Fulton County, Illinois in about 1830. We believe the father of Rev. John was a Thomas Minor. There is some indication he could have been in Chester County, Pennsylvania and Maryland prior to that. This Thomas Minor died in Kentucky in 1802 and was probably born aroud 1745 or so. He was married to Martha ??. The parents of Rev. John Miner have been a mystery to our family for years and years in spite of continuous looking. Any tidbits you may have come across in your research are greatly appreciated!
