I am seeking information on two different families that were early settlers of Fulton County: << I have a John H. MARTIN b 11/22/1789 in KY, d unknown. Married to a Martha SUMMERS b 09/30/1796 in KY. Children : Thomas Claggett b 08/18/1822 in KY;Elizabeth Ann b 05/19/1826 in KY;William Allen b 08/08/1828 in KY;Charles Coleman b 01/26/1831 in IL; and James Henry b 04/07/1834 in IL. John H. was an early settler to the Deerfield area. He [1] Was the first Justice of the Peace of Deerfield in 1837, [2] Was the first Supervisor of Schools of Deerfield - 1850, and [3] Was Clerk and Judge of the first election for county officiers in Fulton County. Information taken from HISTORY OF FULTON COUNTY ILLINOIS, Charles C. Chapman & Co., 1879, pg. 602. Seeking specifically date of death for John H. and Martha and any info concerning lineage of John H. I have a John HART b 02/15/1844 in NJ, d 09/22/1909 in Canton, IL. Married to Hannah HALL b 08/31/1848 in IL, d 03/26/1926 in Canton, IL. Children: Mary Jane [aka Jennie] b 04/26/1870 in Rapatee, IL; J. Marion b 05/06/1875 , Leila, Lilah, Nellia and William date of births and location unknown. Understood that John and Hannah were early settlers in Fulton County. Seeking any available info on John and family. Any help that you can provide would be appreciated.
