Hello, I have about a dozen photos from a studio called "Moran & Tucker" in Canton, Illinois. They're dated 1895 and all appear to be college aged people...some have names on the reverse, some don't. The ones that do: Phebe Shreffler Miss Emerine Frank Miller Ed Crawford Ross Beghtal Carl Landar These photos came to me through my father, who got them from his mother. She was born in 1908 so I think they originated from either her father or her mother... Her parents were James Edward Izatt, born Bloomington, IL (1872-1944) and Florence Johnston, born Warrens, WI (1876-1944). I don't know that either were ever in Canton but I'm thinking one or the other (or both) may have went to college there and these pictures may have been their friends. All of the photos will be available on my web site in a week or so...I'm redesigning :) Does anyone know if there was a college in Canton in 1895...If so, what was it called and any ideas if their records are still available???
