Hi folks! I have seen a lot of complaints about getting vital statistic records from Fulton Co. and I would just like to share this. About a year ago, I sent a request for my grandmother's birth certificate with what I thought was the required $7.00 for a copy. I had her registration of birth with a file number on it. In less that two weeks, I had a copy of her birth certificate AND $2.00 refund because it only cost me $5.00 for the record. Needless to say, I was suprised at getting the refund! I do not know who handled my request. I don't know if having a file number helped although it certainly couldn't have hurt. I will be sending more requests in the near future. It will be interesting to see the response then. But as of now, I am very happy with the way my request was handled. Thank you for letting me share. Sharon bklady
