Fred Lee Kerby was born 1877 in Benadotte, Fulton County. His father was Charles Edward Kerby, who died in Putnam Township, Fulton County. Fred had a brother, named Charles Wesley Kerby born 1880 in Cuba, Fulton County, Illinois. Fred married Ethel May Lawyer about 1905. Ethel came from Tennessee, McDonough County, Illinois. Ethel's Father was William Benton Lawyer, and her mother Mary Elizabeth Lowderman. Fred's brother Charles W. Kerby, married Mary E. Stevens. They had one child, Gladys.
