I also have MINERs in my family, although I have not done any research on that branch yet. Rebecca Miner and Jesse SHIELDS were my great-great grandparents. They supposedly had eleven children, including my great-grandmother, Etta Shields (I've also seen her called Ettie, Nancy Etta), born 1857. She married my great-grandfather, William Burlington HUGHES around 1880 (his family came up from Kentucky). They had my grandfather Harry O. Hughes, his brothers Ross and Clem, and his sister Bertha Hughes WHITZELL. Deborah Boguszewski
