I'd like to thank everyone on the ILFULTON List who has offered advice. There were so many of you, that I can't thank each one personally. I did write to the Attorney General; contacted the office of the Representative for all the counties in Illinois and contacted an attorney at the courthouse. I have visited the Fulton County Courthouse and run off copies of Wills which were 50 cents a copy. This particular individual, Joyce, is withholding public information and there is a law protecting consumers against just such behavior. Also, she is merely a copyist. She does no research. And I have contacted Mary Hampton in order to verify that she is allowed to charge for research, when the Packet numbers and page numbers are included. I have little doubt that she will side with her 'deputy', Joyce, so I plan to take it higher still. The fact that Joyce refuses to send these Wills and plans on charging me more than the $30 plus the $10, is ludicrous. All I want is to quietly pursue my hobby, Genealogy. Thanks again, for all the suggestions! Regards, Judith Goodwin
