    3. Hello Paul, I too have some elusive Browns. Mine were Charles Brown who married Mary Jane Wilson. In the 1860 census they lived in McDonough County. Wilson may have been the name of her second husband, I don't know and haven't been able to find out. There is a Charles Brown buried in Cuba Cemetery with a Civil War emblem attatched to it. I have records that indicate there were two Charles Browns, both served in the Civil War. Father and Son I wonder? Anyway, I too am attatched to the Markley clan. Elizabeth Markley who married Julius Hinderliter, Fulton County, Cass Township. I have much on the Markleys to share if you are interested. Anyway, my Brown was Alice Amanda Brown (Daugher of Charles and Mary Jane Wilson Brown) who married J. C. Hinderliter, son of Julius and Elizabeth Markley Hinderliter. Oh what tangled webs we weave. :o) ---------- > From: Paul Brown <pbrown@tacomaclick.net> > To: ILFULTON-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Brown Family Fulton Co. > Date: Sunday, March 19, 2000 3:12 PM > > Hi List I have been trying to figure out how to write and ask for help, my family are Browns and while I have some infor its sketchy, and I can't seem to find the missing parts. Ellis was born about 1861 and Im told that he was enlisted in the MilitaryDuring the Spanish American War around 1898 I think. Married Rebecca Markley from Deerfield around 1880.
