Does anyone have information about DANIEL BROWN, father of: RACHEL BROWN (1803-1881) who married THEODORE SARGEANT (1795-1871) of Fulton & Knox Counties, IL SARAH JANE BROWN (1796-1849) who married JONAH MARCHANT (1794-1872) of Fulton County, IL FANNY BROWN (b. 1795) who married SETH SMITH LITTLER (1804-1827) of Fulton Co, IL ELIZABETH BROWN (1799-1875) who married ABRAHAM MARCHANT (1798-1889) of Fulton County, IL I suspect other children due to Brown neighbors in censuses. I first find Daniel Brown with LYDIA BULL at Hopewell Friends Meeting in Frederick County, Virginia, 5 May 1794 when they are disowned for marrying out of meeting. I cannot differentiate him from other Daniel Browns who are members of that meeting. I guess that he was in Greene County, Tennessee in 1799 as that is the place given as the birthplace of Betsey Brown, wife of Abraham Marchant, (but am not even sure of this.) and likely went from there to Highland County, Ohio where I find no mention of him before coming to Illinois. The next I hear of him is the wedding of Theodore Sargeant. Are there cemetery records in Knox or Fulton County which would give his date of birth and death? Did his wife Lydia ever get to Illinois where she might have been buried near him? Her birth would have been about 1768 in Frederick County, Virginia. Daniel is one of the brick walls in my Genealogy and I would love to know more of him if there is anything anyone can contribute. He was mentioned as being at Farmington and at Canton.
