    3. Has anyone heard of a baseball team form around Fulton co. in the early 1900's? I am trying to find the name of the team and information about Harry Raymond Overcash that played with them and traveled the area with the team. There is family rumor that he might have died from a baseball related injury. He died June 11, 1912 in Canton, Fulton Co., Il. Thank you Danni Monn Hopkins

    3. During the time period in question baseball was one of the major summer forms of entertainment. Canton had many teams and according to Ed Lewis's book "Reflections of Canton", "it was not until the 1890's that the first of the famous Canton traveling teams became recognized throughout the Central Illinois area."
