He was born 8 October 1916 in Farmington (Fulton Co), IL to Anton and Petronella (KAISER) DOCHES (or DAUKSAS); moved to the Rockford area about 1922-1925; and died 2 March 1969 in Rockford, IL. He had other siblings, however, all their names are unknown at this time. He was shown in the St. Thomas High School's "The Thomist 1932" yearbook as a "Sophomore A", and in the Glee Club; his graduation should have been in 1934 (by today's standards). He entered the US Army from Chicago on 15 Aug 1940 and discharged from Ft. Devens, MA 19 Sept 1945 (NPRC in St. Louis can't find his records, possibly destroyed in their 1973 fire); may have served in the Air Corps in the Pacific Theater. The Rockford City Directories had him listed as working at: Rockford Screw Products between 1936-1940; working at Swedish-American Hospital and residing in Cherry Valley in 1955; working at the Crane Supply warehouse between 1958-1964. A 1969 obit stated that he worked at the local Chrysler Plant (possibly during the early-mid 1950s?). I have a copy of his death record, a faded out birth entry, and entries copied from the Rockford City Directories (1926-1964). I'm stuck with fragments, and any additional leads or sources of information would be appreciated; kindly contact my email [email protected] or the address listed below. Thank you for your help, Mrs. Anne Hayes 1065 Whales Run Ct Virginia Beach, VA 23454
