I do not think it is a problem with polygamy that was discontinued over 40 years ago. Also I don't think its a problem of bigamy. However, it is often the case that they need to prove that the Sarah Stout who married David Clark was really the same person as the Sarah Wimans who married Anthony Stout. According to check of the on line info Antony Stout married a Sarah Royal. No dates on Antony but the second husband of Sarah is lsited as Isaac Clark. It also shows his son David married Sarah Fuller. So manybe the problem is that they have two sets of claimants and its up to the applicants to find the proof to prove which is correct. Julia
