I have enjoyed reading all these memories of Canton and Spoon River. Sounds like a cozy little midwest town. My son lived in Bloomington for awhile and his wife went to school in Macomb (I live in Oregon, so a long ways away). But I enjoyed visiting him and going to the little midwest towns for different festivals, etc. Anyway, I am researching the Althiser family who lived in Canton in 1920 -40 era. I am particularly interested in Oscar and Lula Althiser and their son Roy, but Roy had quite a few half brothers. Any of you who are remembering that area remember the Althiser family? Betty
