My father-in-law was pastor of the South Park Methodist Church in the mid 1950's. My wife started grade school at the old South Park School. She remembers riding her bike to South Park during warm weather and playing on the swings. She also remembers when the new library was built. Jim
Jim, Small world - my grandfather on my mother's side was pastor of the South Park Methodist Church about 1914 to 1920 or so. In later years, abt 1939 - 1947, my family lived in the brick house at 155 E Oak (corner of E Oak & S Second). -Mary [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Lawson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 05, 2003 4:00 PM Subject: [ILFULTON] Spoon River memories > My father-in-law was pastor of the South Park Methodist Church in the mid 1950's.
