Ron Manroe is helping me put the 85th Infantry book online by transcribing chapters...chapters 26, 29 and 30 are now online. 2. Max Latimer has contributed wonderful glimpses into the past by way of photographs...interesting farm scenes, modes of transportation, etc. These can be viewed in the "Photographs" section. 3. Karen Swegle Holt sent in an excerpt on schools and churches from the 139th Anniversary book about the history of Fairview Township and the village of Fairview. 4. Lynda Derry transcribed biographies of Moses Derry, William F. Derry, William H. Derry and John Derry. 5. Becky Hoerr contributed information about William McLaughlin. 6. Cyndi Meyer submitted a photo of the ladies who worked at the Global Shirt Co. and a postcard of the Parlin-Orendorff factory. 7. Carla Finley submitted a photo of the Shinn's School Reunion. A new section has been put together concerning the Chatsworth train accident which occurred on August 10, 1887. Many people from Fulton County were on the ill-fated train.
