I big THANK YOU to all who helped me find out how to find this index. I was searching for information on family members of Elder Aaron and Hannah (Whiteley) Wright. They both died in 1875. What I already know about him -- He was born in S. C. on 2 May 1808. He moved with his parents (names unknown) to Tennessee when Aaron was quite young. He lived in Tennessee (or over the line in Kentucky) till he was grown and married. We don't know the name of this wife. We do know that they had three children -- James (b. ca 1828-29); Joseph (b. 18 Feb. 1830 and m. Elizabeth Hale); Aaron (b. 1 May 1833 and m. Martha E. Walters). They moved to Clay County, Illinois about 1833. We don't know when his first wife died, but we find him in Cass County, Illinois in 1838 where he married Hannah Whiteley. They moved to Fulton County in Farmers Township in the mid to late 1840's. He became a minister (or "elder") in the Primitive Baptist Church and preached several years to a congregation called the Little Flock Church of Spoon River Association located near Table Grove, Illinois. In the 1850's they moved to Iowa and later Missouri serving as an Elder in the Primitive Baptist Church. They came back to Illinois about 1863 and he preached at the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Woodland Township until near the time of his death in 1875. We think they were living over the county line in Schuyler County when they died. He and Hannah (Whiteley) had eight children. As far as I know, they were -- Margaret E. (b. ca 1842) married Peter Rhoades/Rhodes John C. (b. ca. 1843) George L. (b. ca 1846) Lydia Jane (b. ca 1847) married Thomas William Bonser Gilbert B. (b. ca 1849) Emma (b. ca. 1851) Addie (b. ca. 1852 Caroline (b. ca 1855) What I would really like to know is who Aaron's first wife was as my husband is descended from her son, Joseph and Elizabeth (Hale) Wright. The names of Aaron Wright's parents. Also, I would like any information anyone could give about James Wright (b. ca 1828-29) and all of the children of Aaron and Hannah (Whiteley) Wright. I know this is a big order, but any help would be appreciated. Mary Ruth Wright
