Herbert Blue died on Sunday, February 19, 2006, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 76. Alberta (his wife of 48 years), all of his children, Ellie, Charley, Maxine, Larry and Kay, their spouses and children were with him during his last few days. Herb has been dealing with Inclusion Body Myositis, a progressive neurological disorder since 1992. On Monday, February 13, he entered the hospital and was subsequently diagnosed with an aggressive, untreatable cancer. He went home on Friday, February 17, where he could make the 'graceful exit' he had prayed for. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 174 East 900 South, Salt Lake City, Utah at 10:00am. Please, no flowers.
