In a 1908 "Rambler's Notes" interview with Ellen Francis(Johnson) and 2nd husband George M. Gilbert; Ellen says her surviving children from her first marriage in 1871 to James WHEELER are Charles WHEELER whom makes his home with Frank FOUTS in Buckheart twp. Uriah WHEELER who lives in Hancock County IL. And Hattie May WHEELER who makes her home with Caleb JOHNSON in Buckheart twp. 1910 census Buckheart twp. JOHNSON, Lydia 63 (widow of Caleb Johnson) WHEELER, Hattie M. 31 raised child JOHNS, Thomas 23 raised child Death notice for Ellen Francis WHEELER 20 March 1920 says: surviving children: Hattie JONES and Charles WHEELER of near St. David, IL. Uriah B. WHEELER of,Oklahoma. If this is correct Hattie May WHEELER married about 1910 or after to Unknown JONES. Can anyone give me his name and their marriage date? I have searched 1920 and 1930 and only found one Hattie E. married to a William F. JONES,this doesn't seem to jive with the information I have about Hattie May WHEELER.
