Introduction: I am Sherman Campbell living in Eagle, Idaho. NELSON REED and MARY COCKRELL REED are my great, great, grandparents and their daughter FLUEZI ANNA REED married my great grandfather GEORGE WASHINGTON CAMPBELL in McDonough County, Illinois on 12 July 1857. My grandfather CHARLES WILLIAM CAMPBELL was born in London Mills or St. Augustine, IL. I have been trying to locate the burial place of NELSON and MARY REED. They could possibly be either in Fulton or McDonough County. NELSON REED died 17 Apr. 1865 and MARY COCKRELL REED died 27 Aug. 1883. MARY REED spent her last days staying with her sister ELIZA LYONS in Prairy City, McDonough County. I have been trying to locate who their parents were in Pennsylvania. MARY REED was born 14 Feb. 18ll. I also need to locate the parents of GEORGE WASHINGTON CAMPBELL. born in Licking County, Ohio on 27 June 1830. He died on 20 May 1900 and is buried in the Marrieta, IL cemetery in Fulton County with a civil war veteran headstone. He had a sister, also buried in the same location, named NANCY JANE FOURAKER, married to LEVI FOURAKER. If anyone is looking for information on NELSON REED I have a list of all of his children, from his first wife, JANE MAXWELL and with MARY COCKRELL, and their birth dates. I have traced NELSON REED's mother's line back to the middle 1600's when they came to the U.S.. His father's name was WILLIAM REED SR. who married NANCY WOOLFORD in Maryland.
