    3. I have an obit for an early resident of Canton, Fulton Co, which states she came with her husband in 1838 and there joined the Baptist church. She was from a family of Sabatarian (Seventh Day) Baptists. Does anyone know what the name of this church may have been, if there are any remaining records, a cemetery connected with it or other pertinent information??? Sure could use some local help on this one. Thank you. re: also at raggdollynmb@yahoo.com

    2. Ron Kerrison
    3. Hi. I am calling from England. I have the photographs of the gravestones (markers) of 2 ancestors, but cannot read the inscriptions. Is there a facility online which shows the transcribed epitaphs of markers in Greenwood and Barkers cemeteries? The forebears are JAMES CARRISON, died 1872, buried BARKERS: and MARY ABEL, died 1886, buried GREENWOOD. Best Wishes, Ron Kerrison.

    1. Re: [ILFULTON] Burials in Fulton County
    2. Hi Mary, If the OneWorldTree file on Ancestry.com is correct, your Harper's are probably buried in a Cemetery near Liverpool, but I'm not sure where that would be located. Town names of Banner, Canton and Cuba, are mentioned in this file. . . .all are in Fulton County. However, a word of caution. . . . this should be checked out to authenticate these "possibilities". It is easy to find mistakes in large online files like this. . . . I looked in my Farmington Cemetery book and there were some Harpers but they don't appear to be connected to yours. Best wishes for good searching. . . . . Karen

    1. Burials in Fulton County
    2. Mary Hart
    3. I've just joined the Fulton County list and wonder if someone could tell me in which cemetery or cemeteries the following people are buried: Nancy Gadberry Harper, d. 1892; the following children also died and are buried in Fulton County: John Harper, d. 4/27/1933; William Louis Harper, d. 10/2/1919; Thomas Henry Harper, d. 1/8/1917; and Nancy M. Harper (married name unknown to me), d. 7/28/1882. Nancy's husband, Peter, had died in Crawford County, IL, in 1886. I'm working on my husband's Harper line and have these names plus the names of most of the spouses but do not know when or where each of them died. Would appreciate help on learning more about these ancestors. Would there be newspaper obituaries available for deaths at this period of time. Thanks for your help, Mary Hart

    3. I have 3 pictures from this photographer, 2 are of my ggrandfathers family (mother, father, siblings) and is dated 1886, the date and their names were put on the bottom and back of the photos by the photographer. The other one I have is of my grandmother who was born in the summer of 1889 and she looks to be about a year old, no date on the photo. I guess maybe he added the names and date and then stopped sometime between 1886 and 1890? By the way I'm always looking for more info on all of them, Routsons, Lilly's and my gggrandmother who's maiden name was Sadie (Sara) Walker--she's a huge mystery...more so than the others! Hope that helps...wish this guy on ebay could find his way home! susan --------------------------------- Relax. Yahoo! Mail virus scanning helps detect nasty viruses!

    1. Re: [ILFULTON] cabinet photo on e-bay
    2. The photo was taken by the same photographer as those of my gg grandparents, pre-1896. I always assumed the photos were taken sometime between 1880-1895 because of their apparent age. This may help date the photo in question. Wish I knew who he was. It's a great photo. Carol

    1. John D. MILLER and Ruth Hazel WARFIELD
    2. I'm trying to solve an old mystery. John D. Miller, (of Smithfield), age 56 and Ruth Hazel Brooks Warfield, age 19, were married in 1929. He was the son of Wm Henry Miller of Marietta, IL and she was the daughter of James M. Warfield and Sadie Carroll Warfield. I believe they moved to Bartonville, IL, but when Ruth died in 1952 at age 41 she was buried in the Howard Cemetery. I'm trying to find when and where John died? He's not in the Howard Cemetery. Does anyone have any information on these people? Judi Goodwin

    1. Meeker and Ruey Families
    2. Danni Hopkins
    3. I am trying to find information on the children of James Meeker and Laura L. Ruey. I know they had one son, Henry, but that is all. I have just recently found a picture of some Ruey descendants that has a Marie Meeker Strickler in it with 2 babies. I am sure she must fit into the Ruey family and think it is possible that she is a child of James Meeker and Laura Ruey Meeker but I can't find anything on them. The picture shows Sarah Jane Williams and her husband and child (my grandparents and father), Henry Williams, Alpha Williams and her husband and 1st child, Sarah Sophia Addis Ruey and Mary Belle Ruey Williams and Francis Marion Williams plus Marie Meeker Strickler so it is a family photo and Marie should fit in here somewhere. Thanks for any help Danni Monn Hopkins

Leo's wife was Josie Marie Addis b. abt. 1882 and died. 1972 in Greeley, Co. Josie parents were Joseph Suydam Addis and Emeline C. Weller. 1. Cain and marriages
    2. Hello list- I'm checking out some peripheral family. All these girls births and marriages are listed in Fulton County. Was wondering if there is any additional info, or family researchers. I would really appreciated death dates if they are available. Helen Louisa Cain, b. 1859, m. Stephen Douglass Roberts. Delia Cain, b. 1854, m. Marion Allen. Caroline Cain, b. 1852, m. Hiram Cooper. Also, their mother, Nancy Jones Cain. Would there possible be a divorce decree around? Her husband would have been Daniel Cain. There is a second marriage for him about 1870, and I don't think Nancy died til about 1926. Thanks much- Cherilyn
