    1. Canton City Directories?
    2. Does anyone on this list know if there are city directories available for Canton in teh 1910-1920 period? I have a death certificate for Margaret JONES who died in Canton in October 1916. Mrs. Jones was reported in her obituary as having died at the home of her daughter. No name for the daughter was given however. The information on the DC was given by a Mrs. J D Evans who I presume was her daughter. The Evan's address was given as being in Dayton, OH. Queries in OH city directories have not shown a Mrs. Evans at the address given. I am wondering if she was only visiting there and actually lived with her mother at the Canton address. A directory could clear up the confusion. Anyone have any information to help? thanks for any tidbit! Debbie in California Abudebbie@aol.com

    1. Evans
    2. Hi Listers--Just received a death certificate on my Margaret Jones who died in 1916 in Canton. She was said to have been living with her daughter at the time. The person on the certificate who supplied the information was MRS. J. D. EVANS. I think this is probably her daughter. I have two daughters who I only know first names on, Kate (probably Catherine) and Lizzie (probably Elizabeth). Does anyone have EVANS in Fulton? Do you recognize this information? Kate and Lizzie were born in IL in 1872 and 1874. The rest of the family turned up in Macon MO at some point after 1880. The girls' father died in Bevier in 1898. ANy and all help appreciated! JOSEPHUS KIRBY married May 30, 1882, to CLARA BELLE YOHO, who was born in Fulton County, IL, daughter of JASPER and MARY E. (COLLINS) YOHO. Mr. Yoho, eldest son of THOMAS and ELIZA JANE YOHO, was born at Mansfield, OH, May 25, 1837; was a mechanic; married Dec 17, 1861, and had 3 children: Clara B., Dora A., and William J.
