    1. Fulton Co. Death - MAGERS
    2. I'm seeking info on JOHNNY or NOAH MAGERS, sons of Elza Magers and Lizzy (Patterson) Magers in Fulton Co. They are on the 1880 census for Lee Twp, Fulton Co., with the family. John was age 15 and Noah was 12. But by 1885 in Nebraska, these two boys aren't listed with the rest of the family in the census. I had someone do a marriage records check in Illinois; nothing. I can only assume then that they died in Illinois before the family moved West. Can someone check records for me? In exchange, if you have any family members who may have moved into Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, I have a number of references for that area and would be happy to check names for you. Regards, Mona Sarratt Knight

    1. Death Record or Cemetary Look-Up
    2. Would someone be able to do a death record or cemetary look-up for me. I've "lost" two sons of my Great-Grandfather ELZA MAGERS (MAJORS) who lived in Fulton County with his family until about 1883. The family are all shown in the 1880 census for Fulton County, but I next find them in the 1885 census record for Hamilton Co, Nebraska, minus two sons - NOAH MAGERS and JOHNNY MAGERS. Could these boys have died in Illinois? I find no death information or cemetary location for them in Nebraska. Would someone be kind enough to do a look-up for me? I would sincerely appreciate it. Also, I have some genealogy materials on Iowa families (many who migrated from Fulton Co and other Illinois locations) and would be happy to do look-ups for you as well. Regards, Mona Knight

    3. Maryi, I am not sure who you are talking to ... and this may be speculation on my part ... but I am just trying to help! It sounds to me like you are talking about your subscription to the Fulton County list and the fact that you only receive what is called a digest version. I would suggest that you are actually on the Digest List and should unsubscribe and then resubscribe to the regular list with the following address: mailto:ILFULTON-L-request@rootsweb.com Well, I hope this has helped Happy Hunting, Bryan MaryI@aol.com wrote: > > All I receive from your e-mail is the topic and the volume number. 1. Stephen Payne (1816-1889) and Catharine Dunn Payne (d. 1865)
    2. Hi, folks This is a certified fishing expedition. I'm looking for anything I can find about my great-great grandparents, Stephen and Catharine (Dunn) Payne. A biography of Stephen was published Chapman's 1879 history of the county. He was then living in Lee Township (Section 5) and was a widower. The bio said his wife, Catharine, had died in 1865. Anyone know where she might be buried? Stephen later moved to Nebraska with one of his children and died there in 1889. He was also a Civil War veteran, having served in Co. D, 70th Illinois Infantry; Co. I, 16th Illinois Cavalry; and Co. E, Veteran Reserve Corps. Stephen and Catharine had seven children whom I have identified. They include: 1. Isaac (1846-1912), m. Emily A. Bourgoise 2. Lewis M. (b. 1847) 3. Pocahontas (b. 1848) 4. Louisiana (1850-1935) m. (1) John Mott and (2) John Couch 5. Kate (m. 1854) 6. James (b. 1857) 7. George Washington Payne (1861-1935) m. Mary Luetta Gick (my great grandparents) As you can see, I don't know what became of most of these children. And I'd like to! Hope to hear from someone. Mark E. 1. Fulton Marriages
    2. Hi--Thanks for the offer to do marriage lookups in Fulton! I have a William W. Thomas who married a Mary M Jones there around 1880. I am also wondering if there were other Thomases married around that time. I am looking for some siblings for my Wm. William was born in Bristol, England in 1857. Does your listing only tell the names of bride and groom? If someone is found, is there a source that would have the full details, or is this all that has been preserved? Thanks for your help.
