Gardner C. FOSTER m Anna E. WILL April 13, 1870 as listed in my Fulton County, Illinois Marriage Index. I'll check my Funeral Home records and cemeteries in Canton for Almira. Lyde
Hi, Listers, I am searching for Gardner Foster and Almira C. Saunders Foster. They were married on Oct.10, 1860, in Fulton Co. (I've sent for their mge papers). I found Gardner Foster on the 1870 Fulton Co Census; Canton, IL. He is age 33, but no Almira. Did she die? There is also an Anna Gardner age 18 living with him in Canton, but she is too old to be a daughter. Two boys, Webster and George are probably Almira's sons....Anyone researching this family? Thanks, Still researching MILLER, MELVIN, HUKILL, WAUGHTEL, MOORE, COOK, COONS, JAMES, OLIVER, SPEARS, SEIVER, WASSON, WHITTAKER, FULLER, SAUNDERS Judith Goodwin "Obsessed in a Moderately, Well-adjusted Way"

Linda, I do not know if there is one in Canton any more, but I do know that there is one still in Pekin, IL. The number is (309) 673-7523. If nothing else, you might be able to call and find out if they still have a location in canton. Anyone going to visit this cemetery needs to contact the man in charge of this cemetery [it is a city cemetery] unless you know exactly where the graves are that you want to see- it is a very large cemetery!! Sorry I do not know the man's name but a lady I met there on Memorial Day mentioned that there was a man who would know where graves are located. so I think you could call the city. Have a great day! Hi- Can anyone recommend someone in the Farmington area [or maybe around Peoria] that is honest and does good work - I need to get 2 tombstones reset and one repaired in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington. I was there on Memorial Day and the stones are set up against their son's stone and a piece of one is lying on the ground. Any help would be appreciated- I would really like phone numbers so I could call as we have a reunion coming up in 1œ weeks and I would like to collect money to help me pay for this. I have an 1891 Biographical History of Pottawattamie Co. Iowa which lists an ALFRED BYBEE, born 1810 in Barren Co, KY, son of LEE BYBEE. They became Mormons and were in Nauvoo, Illinois, then driven west after the riots there and settled in Pottawattamie Co. If you have any interest, let me know. Mona Knight
Does anyone know who has the records for the Maryville Cemetery at Bryant. I found my John Franklin Shoemaker buried there but curious as to who maybe buried around him. He died in 1883 at age 22 and was living at St. David. Was there a Christian Church at St . David and/or at Bryant at that time. If so, who might have the membership lists? Thank , Miriam

Hi Folks, For those of you who have been sending me requests for marriage lookups--I am sorry, but I am not the one with the marriage index. I would love to help if I could. I have been forwarding those requests to this list, which may be where the confusion in coming from. Would those of you who have marriage records please post that info again so everyone can get the right address? ;-) However, if you need a lookup in the 1870 census INDEX for IL, I would love to help out. Thanks, Evan
