    1. old report card 1911
    2. I found a report card of my grandmother, Clarice Benham, from Buck-Eye. That's how it's written. It is from 1911-1912. What is unique about it is they must not have had many cards because it used to belong to someone else. It has the name of Leo Totten on it. The teacher's signature is Fern Walters. If anyone is researching either of these families, I will be happy to scan it and send it to you. Carla Heller Finley Florida http://community.webshots.com/user/carlafinley

    1. THOMPSON to WALKER Family Letter
    2. Shelley & Tomas Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old letter dated 1845 which was sent from John M. THOMPSON in New York to Henry WALKER in Canton, Illinois. Based on the information in the letter I believe that John M. THOMPSON is likely married to Henry WALKER's sister, referring to him as "brother". In addition to that it would appear that Henry WALKER has three brothers, Francis WALKER, Robert WALKER, and William WALKER. His brother, William WALKER is living in Canaan at the time the letter is written. The contents of the letter are as follows: WALKER Family Letter Addressed to : Mr. Henry WALKER, Canton, Illinois New York, April 23, 1845 Dear Brother, I take up my pen to send you a few lines hoping these lines will find you and all of your family in joying good health and Henry I think you sister is getting better health than she had when I last rote you and I am in hopes that she will yet be well and able to take some comfort yet wich is a thing she has long been a stranger too and Henry we had a letter from your Brother Francis a bout a week a go and when he rote himself and family was all well and doing well wich is a great blessing your Brother Robert leaft hear a bout two weeks go for to go to your Brother Francis thier to stay for some time so he thinks he will be better of than he will be if he had remained here or in a ???? as he was only getting in difficulty hear so we thought it would be for the best for him to go we received a letter a bout a month ago from your Brother William and he is still in Canaan and a working to his trade and he says in his letter that himself and family is well and likes the country well and then you think we have kept you out of your money a long wile but we have been in some of our ??? and have been a good deal disapointed in not getting ??? in before but it is a thing to get the rents from some of these persons after they get in we have one of the older tenants that is owing us a bout two hundred dollars and as yet we have not received it from him but we think we shall yet receive it he has been in the hous a bout five years and all ways pays his rent untill now and he says in May he will pay it so we have made dividend and it amounts to $77.87 and ??? has to take out your ??? wich is amounts to $10.50 and that leaves a balance of $67.37 too wich I have sent on in a certificate of deposite payable to your order and please to give our best respects to all of your family. I remain yours ??? John M. THOMPSON I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful piece of family history can be restored to the family. 1. Combs Bible by Todd
    2. George and Bettye
    3. Todd, Thaks for the bible informaiton. I do have some questions. Robert W. combs was married to a Martha Parker in Ohio around 1820. After her death, Robert married another person. My quest is to try and find out the parents of this Martha Parker. I suspect, due to other data, that Martha and Mary Elizabeth (sisters) Parker's father was a William Parker and a unknown wife who might have died prior to 1803. This William Parker married a Elizabeth Davis in 1803 and they are my GGG Grandparents. Is there any hints are information in the bible that might lead one to who Martha and Mary Elizabeth's parents are. Marth was born about 1796 in Pennsylvania and Mary elizabeht was born about 1797 in Ohio. Mary married Robert's brother Joseph Parker Combs and they both died in Johnson County, Texas. any information is greatly appreciated. You can contact me directly, but, insure that the subject line clearly indicastes Combs/Parker family information so it will come past my spam blocker. He lived in Menard County and then moved on to Knox County and during his later years lived in Millbrook Township, Peoria County, with his children, Emily, Elias and grandson William (according to the 1880 census). He was married to Lydia C. Simons in 1863 and I suspect he was married more than once. Some of the other children of William's include W. Scott, Lavena, Louisa and Correy. I just found out that some of William's descendants moved to Fulton County. If any of these names look familiar, I would love to hear from you! Warm regards, Janine

James S. ??? I have that this family was in Ill by 1812 and were in the 1820 Fulton Co. IL Census. If this is true, then children 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 would have been born in Fulton County, IL. By the 1830 Census they were in Boone County and were also there in the 1840 Boone County MO Census. By 1850 they were in the Cole Co. MO Census. Any help anyone can give me will be appreciated.
