Her husband's death date should be 1992 or 2002, not the 1932 TILDEN - Dolores E. Keller, 81, died at 4:06 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, in Sparta Community Hospital. She was born July 16, 1931, in Benton, to Earl and Ethel (Willis) Bumgarner. She married Melvin Keller on June 24, 1950, in Ewing, and he died Feb. 27, 1932. She attended Community of Christ in Sparta. Dolores was employed at Harry's Market and then Kroger's for more than 27 years. She was a member of Early Bird, Homemaker Club Home Extension, Birthday Club and Prosperity Grange. Survivors include daughters, Nancy Lee (John) Watts of Lakewood, Wash., and Janet Sue (Darrel) Grathwohl of Sparta; sons, Wayne (Jamie) Keller of Steeleville, Gary Keller of Sparta, Larry Melvin (Nancy) Keller of Tilden and Willis Dean (Denise) Keller of Steeleville; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepmother, Florence Davis Bumgarner; one son, John Earl; one sister; and one grandson, Scott Eric. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, in McDaniel Funeral Home in Sparta, with Brother Andy Rider officiating. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 6 and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Tilden First Responders.
