Brown, 52, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois went to be with the Lord at 12:39 A.M. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Cristi was born on Monday, May 16, 1960 in Benton, Illinois the daughter of Roy A. and Shirley (McBride) Brown. Surviving family members include her parents: Roy and Shirley Brown of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 3 brothers: Keith Brown and wife Sharon of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Ross Brown and wife Debbie of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Mony Brown and wife Lisa of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister: Rorie Brown and husband Roger of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 4 nephews: Russell Brown and wife Angela of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Jim Lynch of Evansville, Indiana, Nick Lynch and wife Amy of Evansville, Indiana and Jared Palmer of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; niece: Emily Palmer of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 5 great nieces and great nephews also survive. Cristi attended Mt. Vernon area public schools, Rend Lake College, University of St. Louis and graduated from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri and later was employed as a registered nurse for Advantage Nursing. She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, was an avid Cardinals fan, had a great sense of humor and her faith in God was very special to her. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.Reverend Gary Davenport and Reverend Merle Fullerton will officiate.
