(VEACH) VALMUS, 84, of Liberty, Mo., formerly of Sesser, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at the home of her daughter, Darlene RING, and son-in-law, Cornelius. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, with the Rev. Kirk PACKER officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery north of Sesser. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, to the funeral home. She was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Sesser, the daughter of John and Clara VEACH, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her brother, Bob VEACH, of Sesser; daughter, Darlene RING and husband, Cornelius; son, James R. LOMAN of Decatur; two grandchildren, Mike LOVELAND of Shawnee Mission, Ks., and Faith LUGTEN of Holly Springs, N.C.; a great-grandson, Michael Maloy LOVELAND of Kansas City; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Bob The Southern Illinoisan, Thursday, February 4, 1960, SERVICES WEDNESDAY FOR BENTON NATIVE Funeral services were Wednesday in Fort Branch, Ind., for James Dewey Veach, 22, a Benton native who was killed Monday in a car-truck crash near Princeton, Ind. Veach leaves area relatives, grandmother Mrs. Rada Reynolds of Benton; grandfather John Veach of Sesser; and aunt Mrs. Geneva Loman of Herrin.
