Imogene Marilyn Duncan, 78, of Benton, died at 11:13 a. m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Duncan was born on September 17, 1934 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Ernest Lee Hayes and Dora Ione (Bryant) Hayes. She married James Edward on August 31, 1957 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on June 251991. Marilyn retired from the General Electric Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Surviving relatives include three sons, Joseph H. and wife Toni Hayes, Herrin, James Michael Duncan and fiancée Heather Dawn Jenkins, Harrisburg, Mark Allen Duncan, Fairbury, IL, eight grandchildren, James Robert Duncan, Melonie Kay Kinkade, Jessica Marie Duncan, Jennifer Dawn Peterson, Mackenzie Taylor Bourland, Marcus Duncan, Matthew Duncan, Lexi Duncan, five great-grandchildren, Riley Winemiller, Kyrie Dial, Tyler Peterson, Colin James Duncan, Ethan Duncan, two sisters, Vivian Fore, Springfield, IL, Evelyn and husband William Wilson, Wellsville, MO, one brother, Carl and wife June Hayes, Willow Springs, MO, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton with Rev.
