Does anyone know who the parents of James Dewey Veach are? An obit is listed below but they are not included. he is listed as the grandson of Rada Reynolds. I have three children listed for Walter and Rada Cockrum Reynolds, all girls. Geniva, Hazel and Nadine. I have info. on Geneva as she was married to my dad's cousin, but don't have any info. on either Hazel and Nadine. Rada is part of my Brown family. Geneva was married to her third cousin Robert Loman. Veach leaves area relatives, grandmother Mrs. Rada Reynolds of Benton; grandfather John Veach of Sesser; and aunt Mrs. Geneva Loman of Herrin. Veach, an Evansville college student, died when his small foreign car was crushed under a truck.

Bob, I have a Dewey VEACH, b. 1917, s/o John Smith VEACH & Cora Anna McDANIEL. John Smith VEACH was married twice. I don't have dates for his marriages to Cora Ann McDANIEL or Clara FRAZIER. The family is listed on the 1930 U.S. Census, Goode Twp. FCI. Dewey VEACH is age 14. Clara is age 36 & states that she was married at age 24. Rada/Larada "Radie" (Cockrum) REYNOLDS was raised by my Gr. Aunt, Margaret WHITLOW. Margaret was Lem COCKRUM's 2nd. wife. She also raised James MABRY/MABERRY because Lem COCKRUM was guardian of James. Living with Lem & Margaret were Larry RISLEY & Talbert ISENHART, farm hands.
