WEST FRANKFORT -- Daphna Irene Robinson, 96, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, in Westside Rehab and Health Care in West Frankfort. Daphna was born Dec. 8, 1916, to Frank and Nellie Adams, in Berry's Ferry, Ky. She met and married Joyce Van Robinson of Golconda. In 1965, the Robinsons moved to Elgin. Daphna described herself as a homebody who loved cooking and country music. She was a discharge coordinator at the State Mental Health Center and retired in 1981. Daphna is survived by her six children, Bonnie Swader of South Elgin, Carol (Mark) Beck of Lowell, Ind., Leon (Marlene) Robinson of Springfield, Cliff (Amy) Robinson of Jacksonville, Fla., Earl (Lynn) Robinson of West Frankfort and Peggy Rogman of Ft. Meyer, Fla.; brother, Huey Adams; one sister, Faye; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Mary Hall and Odeen Adams; brothers, Clifton and Dwight Adams; and grandsons, Earl Robinson Jr., Terry Wayne Robinson and Daniel Swader.
