    3. WEST FRANKFORT - Blodwen Wittkamp, 104, departed this life at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at West Side Care in West Frankfort. Blodwen was born March 15, 1909, in West Frankfort, a daughter of John and Martha Jane (Price) Coleman. She married Carl Wittkamp on June 4, 1927, in West Frankfort. Carl preceded her in death Dec. 19, 1992. Blodwen was a member of First Baptist Church of Thompsonville. She taught Sunday school classes at the church until she was 90 years old. She also visited "old people" at nursing homes until December of 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. Survivors include a son, Joseph and wife, Esther June Wittkamp, of West Frankfort; a daughter, Johnnie Martha and husband, Lindell Blades, of West Frankfort; grandchildren, Sean (Lisa) King, Devin (Tammy) King, Aaron Sue (Kelly) Tyner, Deanna (Dax) Davidson, Ray (Karen) Blades and Kevin Blades; and several great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandsons, Joe Richard Wittkamp, David Wittkamp and Matthew Vancil; and brothers, Albert and Lionel Coleman. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at First Baptist Church of Thompsonville, with the Rev. John Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Tower Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Thompsonville. Varis-Stone Funeral Home in West Frankfort is in charge of arrangements.
