He was born March 2, 1957, in Du Quoin, to John and Catherine (Dasher) Hester. He is survived by his lifelong companion Mary Elaine Hester; one son, Jimmy A. Hester; one daughter, Carrie Hester; one granddaughter, Isabelle Hester, all of Sesser; eight brothers, Loren Hester of Harrisburg, Charles Hester of Gorham, Frank Hester of Du Quoin, Robert Warren of Zeigler, Charles Hester of Tuka, Richard Hester of Salem, Ray Hester of Elkville and Clifford Cavins of Zeigler; and four sisters, Dorothy Hiaton of Du Quoin, Lois Loucks of Cadet, Mo., Bessie Russell of Salem and Rosetta Jones of Phoenix, Ala.; and one aunt, Marie Miller of Du Quoin. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, and one sister. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 19, in Van Natta Funeral Home, with the Rev. Max Voyles officiating. Burial will be in Old Du Quoin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home on Illinois 148, between Christopher and Sesser.
