Register-News, Mt Vernon IL, Mon 5 June 1933 MRS. G. W. TAYLOR DIED SUNDAY AT THE FAMILY HOME Mrs. Julia TAYLOR, wife of Geo. W. TAYLOR, 417 Herbert street, died at the family home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. TAYLOR was born in Franklin county and her age was 60 years at the time of death. She had been a resident of Mt. Vernon 25 years. Mrs. TAYLOR was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward ODLE of Franklin county. Funeral services at the Free Methodist church, Nineteenth and Logan streets, conducted by the Rev. Tom DULANEY, and burial will follow in Oakwood. Mrs. TAYLOR was a member of the Free Methodist church and took much interest in the church and all it stood for. She is survived by her husband, Geo. W. TAYLOR, and one son, Henry TAYLOR, Louisville, Ky., and one daughter, Nellie SEVERNS, Hammond, Ind., and one brother, Eddie ODLE. of Ina; and three half brothers, viz: Edward and John ODLE of Macedonia, and Connie ODLE of Missouri; and one half sister, Lena EDWARDS, Mt. Vernon. She raised one grand child, Walter TAYLOR, and there are two other grand children. == Benton IL newspaper 5 June 1933 Mrs. Julia TAYLOR, 65, wife of George TAYLOR, formerly of Benton but now living in Mt. Vernon, died at her home there yesterday. She is survived by a daughter, Nellie; a son, Henry; 2 nephews, Judge Ed ROBERTSON and Charles ROBERTSON of Benton; and a grandson, buster TAYLOR, whom she raised. Vernon, died yesterday in Elyria, Ohio. Mr. TAYLOR, of 1619 Grafton Road in Elyria, was born in Mt. Vernon on October 26, 1910. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Lutheran church in Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services will be held LSaturday in Elyria.
