WARREN, 88, of 417 East Webster Street, Benton, died Wednesday at Franklin Hospital. Mr. WARREN was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, born to Francis Marion and Matilda CARTER WARREN. He was a retired coal miner, last employed in that field at the Franklin County Mine, and also had worked for the former Woodway Food Stores and Walter Blough Hardware firm. He was a member of the Logan Church of God. He is survived by his second wife, Alta SUMMERS WARREN; a son, Charles WARREN, Battle Creek, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Eileen SUMMERS, Benton; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two brothers, Claude WARREN, Benton and Harvey E. WARREN, St. Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death in 1968, of his first wife, Ida Louise KAEMPER WARREN; his parents, two daughters, Thelma WARREN and Ethel CARTER, and three sisters, Norma BRITTON, Ella KAEMPER and Bernie ROBINSON. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton. The Reverend Forest L. HAGOOD will officiate. Interment will be in Knob Prairie Church, near Akin. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
