Susanna/Lusany (Bennett) GOESSMAN, widow of John G. GOESSMAN, married 10 Oct. 1861, FCI to John TUCKER. In 1862 Susanna (Goessman) TUCKER petitioned for a divorce from John TUCKER. In the court record a daughter, Nancy Jane TUCKER, “aged about two years, is the result of said marriage.” Susanna “prays that she have the custody of Nancy Jane” and “that her name be changed back to her former name of Susanna GOESSMAN”. Father: TUCKER, Wm. C. No mother listed. I “think” that Nancy Jane “Dollie” TUCKER is not the daughter of Wm. C. I have not found a death date or burial place for Susanna (Bennett) GOESSMAN but she may have died before 1870. On the 1870 U.S. Census her three (3) GOESSMAN sons are living with other families. Susanna’s 1st. husband, John G. GOESSMAN b. 06 Jan. 1818 – d. 17 May 1857 is buried in Browning Hill Cemetery, FCI.
