WEST FRANKFORT -Angeline Nicinski Zortz, 90, died at 10:30a.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Herrin Hospital. Angeline was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Detroit, Mich., to Frank and Sophie (Ochab) Nicinski. She was a homemaker and of Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Zortz, on April 26, 1990; daughter, Janice Zortz; and her parents, Survivors include daughters, Barbara Zumwalt of St. Louis, and Rosemary (Charles) Skuta of West Frankfort; son, John Zortz of West Frankfort; sister, Catherine Eichmeier of Charles City, Iowa; grandchildren, Kristine McBride-Akers, Lara Lynn, Philip Skuta, Kevin Skuta, and John Zortz Jr. and their families, all of Missouri and Illinois; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with Father Sean Palas officiating. Interment will be in Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint John's Parochial School in West Frankfort or Tower Heights Cemetery Association. Envelopes will be available and accepted at the funeral home.
