Ronald Gene Buchholz age 61 of Mt. Vernon passed away April 25, 2013 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Ron was born July 6, 1951, in Weatherford, Texas the son of Martin L. and Madeline (Kirkpatrick) Buchholz. He was a graduate of Illinois State in Bloomington where earned a degree in accounting. Ron worked as a Certified Public Accountant until failing health. He is survived by his brother, Allen Buchholz and special friend Carolyn of Springfield; and also two nieces, Vickie Cornish and Michelle and husband David Peruzzi.
