Born Jan. 11, 1912, in Franklin County, she was a daughter of Clarence HAMMONDS and Sybble ROBERSON. She married Virgil ROBBINS Oct. 13, 1928, in Franklin County; he preceded her in death. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brayfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan WILLIAMS officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service. She was a member of Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a Christian. Survivors include son Robert Dean ROBBINS and wife June of Mulkeytown; a brother, Jess HAMMONDS of Sesser; sisters, Eunice BROWN and Mary PIACENTINI of Sesser and Grace KIRK of Galien, Mich.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including Glenda Kay SWALLS of Herrin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and seven brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Fund or the American Heart Association.
