Arrangements were pending this morning at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. Register-News, Mt Vernon IL, Mon 9 Mar 1998 MARY ANN PAYNE Mary Ann PAYNE, 85, of Dahlgren died in the emergency room at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro 11 p.m. March 6, 1998. She was a homemaker. Mrs. PAYNE was born July 29, 1912, in Franklin County, a daughter of Daniel and Laura (LOVIN) KING. She married Roscoe PAYNE, who preceded her in death. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Oakhill Cemetery near Belle Rive. the Rev. Frank HUSTON will officiate services. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. PAYNE is survived by two sons, Jerry and Deborah PAYNE and Roy and Mary Ann PAYNE all of Woodlawn; one daughter, Ruth KELLY of Nashville; five grandchildren, David and Sherrie PAYNE of Woodlawn, Ralph David KELLY Jr. of Dahlgren, Chris PAYNE of Lexington, Ky., Chad PAYNE of Gainesville, Fla., Eutrenia and Carl STAPF of Jeffersonville, Ind.; and two great-grandchildren, Robert PAYNE and Nicole STAPF. Also surviving Mrs. PAYNE are two brothers, Clifton KING of Mt. Vernon and Byford KING of Elgin. She was a member of Sugarcamp Baptist Church near Belle Rive.
