Register-News, Mt Vernon IL, Mon 21 Dec 1992 ALLEN HODGE (includes photo) Granville Allen HODGE, 75, Mt. Vernon, died 5:05 p.m. Dec. 19, 1992, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. HODGE was an auto mechanic at DeWitt and Maxey Auto for many years, and later was owner of H&S Auto Repair for many years. He was born Sept. 19, 1917, in Jefferson County, a son of Kenneth and Zora (McLAUGHLIN) HODGE. June 17, 1939, in Ironton, Mo., he married Justena B. FULLERTON, who survives. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. J.R. JANESE officiating. burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey funeral Home. In addition to his wife, Mr. HODGE is survived by one daughter, Sharon GROTHOFF and husband Clarence, of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Richard HODGE and wife, Joy, of Mt. Vernon, Steven HODGE and wife, Debi, of Woodlawn and Gary HODGE and wife Peggy, of Downers Grove; one brother, Marlin HODGE and wife Evaline, of Woodlawn; two sisters, Arline LEFFLER of Mt. Vernon and Alice HESTER of Escondido, Calif.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. HODGE attended Logan Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arthur HODGE and Kenneth HODGE. Memorials may be made to Logan Street Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home at any time.
