Register-News, Mt Vernon IL, 9 Sep 1992 issue 25 YEARS AGO (1967) A Mt. Vernon hunter is convinced that there is a big bear in the Skillet Fork bottoms in Wayne County, north of Keenes. Andrew D. "Dee" WEBB, 1021 Bell St., said he discovered bear tracks while hunting squirrels along Skillet Fork River about two and one-half miles north of Keenes. Does anyone know the lineage of this Andrew D.
