GUNTER 50th Anniversary (Includes "today" and "50 years ago" photos) Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. GUNTER of McLeansboro will observe their 50th wedding anniversary. To celebrate the occasion they will be guests of honor at an open house given by their children, 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Senior Citizens Center in McLeansboro. Charles GUNTER and the former Frieda ERKMANN were married July 5, 1940, in Jackson, Mo. They are the parents of eight children, Charles E. GUNTER of Wayne City; Donald GUNTER, Ms. David (Janet) CLUCK and Freddie GUNTER, all of McLeansboro; Mrs. David (Barbara) JOHNSON of Belle Rive; Daniel GUNTER of Springerton; Mrs. Kenneth (Ruby) GREEN of Dahlgren; and David GUNTER of Washington. They have 22 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one stepgreat-grandson. One grandson and one great-grandson are deceased. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the open house. The couple would appreciate receiving cards and letters. They request that gifts be omitted.
