Katie Norovich, 88, of West Frankfort, Illinois passed away at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She was born December 2, 1924 in Tamaroa, Illinois to Leon and Victoria Barnouski. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Norovich; parents; three sisters; and a brother. Survivors include her son: George and wife, Dian Norovich of West Frankfort; Stepson, Bill and wife Sue Norovich of Gardendale, AL; daughters: Shirley Drapeau and Leona Rains both of West Frankfort; grandchildren: Kristin Kliethermes, Matthew Rains, and Nicholas Norvich; great-grandchildren: Koty and Brogan Rains, Lucy Kliethermes. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton, Illinois. Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, Illinois is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service.
