Toren R. Stanley was born on December 29, 1992 in Decatur, IL the son of Maurice Stanley and Tasha (Johnson). Toren was a 2011 graduate of Marion High School where he excelled at football, participated in track and field, and enjoyed the art program. When not working at Burger King in Marion, he spent the majority of his time with the love of his life and their daughter. He loved sports, playing video games and creating lyrics. Toren had aspirations of enlisting in the Air Force, where he hoped to pursue his football endeavors. Toren R. Stanley is survived by his daughter, Aissa Xin’Klair Stanley, fiancée, Kendra Hodge, and his immediate family of two brothers, Trae Johnson, Terranius Stanley, sister, Mistiree Stanley, mother, Tasha Johnson, maternal grandmother, Patricia Johnson, and maternal grandfather, John Freeman, II. He is also survived by a host of family members and siblings of the Stanley family inclusive of his father Maurice Stanley. Visitation will be from 9:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Benton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bishop Clay Cofield officiating.
