BENTON -- Sisto F. Ferrari, 81, formerly of West Frankfort, died at 5:39 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Franklin Hospital in Benton. He was born Dec. 24, 1931, in West Frankfort to Enzo Anthony and Mary (Mack) Ferrari. He retired as a first sergeant from the U.S. Marine Corps after 24 years, having served in Korea and Vietnam. Survivors include wife, Penny (Cunningham) Ferrari of Benton; daughter, Theresa Ferrari of West Frankfort; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lou Ferrari; son, Sisto Ferrari; and sister, Phyllis Ferrari. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 in Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Pastor Jason Ishmael officiating. Interment will be in Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 1961 of Orient, Zeigler Post 177, VFW Post 5764 of West Frankfort, VFW Post 2671, American Legion Post 280 of Benton and Marion National Honor Guard.
