THIRD GENERATION JOSEPH LEVI WILLIAMS was born 8-1-1859 in Elkville Township, Jackson County, Illinois and died 5-28-1939 in Murphysboro, Jackson County, Illinois and is buried in Tower Grove Cemetery near Murphysboro. He worked at many jobs, owned a restaurant, had a rock quarry, owned several homes in Murphysboro and then he moved to Missouri with his family and there he met Mary Ellen HART and they were married. Also on the married records, it says that this is his second marriage. He could not read or write, but could speak English. He died of Heart problems. He and Mary Ellen were married 11-18-1886 in Fountain Bluff, Illinois She was born 5-4-1870, Ironton, Reynolds County, Missouri and died on 12-27-1932 in Murphysboro, Jackson County, Illinois. George Levi had a double wedding with his sister Dellie “Lille” WILLIAMS who married .
