Rene' Michelle Lewis and Wesley Adam Gozia were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. April 14, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church in Salem. The Rev. Michael Ebersohl and Justice Lloyd Karmeier officiated. Music was provided by pianist Anita Witt, aunt of the bride, and soloist Karina Witt, cousin of the bride. A dinner and dance reception followed at the Grand Ballrooms of the Holiday Inn Mt. Vernon. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Marilyn Lewis of McLeansboro. The groom is the son of Dr. Penny Gozia of Breese. Rene' is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert and Carrie Witt of Hannibal, Mo., Ms. Nelda Lay of Jefferson City, Mo., and Mrs. Doris Yeakey of McLeansboro. Wesley is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Gozia of Breese. Maid of honor was Alexandrea Lewis, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Ashley Johnson, friend of the bride. Flower girl was Addison Gozia, cousin of the groom. Best man was Kurt Benhoff, friend of the groom. Groomsman was Jeremy Gogel, friend of the groom. Special prayers were offered by Rae Gruenkemeyer and Jeanette Reynolds, friends of the couple. Scriptures were read by JC and Andrea Sellers, cousins of the bride. Readings were given by Carolyn Avis, aunt of the bride, and Kathy Gozia, aunt of the groom. Ushers were Todd Witt, JC Sellers and Josh Richmiller, cousins of the bride. Attendants were Maria Witt and Chelsea Calvert, cousins of the bride. The bride is currently employed at Shakespeare Oil in Salem. The groom is an attorney and owner of Gozia Law Firm LLC in Carlyle. The couple honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii, and reside in Salem.
